I'm calling this one "The Grid". Shall I admit that it was inspired by Tron? I do appreciate the story line in that movie, but admit I've watched it a couple additional times just to see the special effects again. This one's finished - just looking for the right base.
This one is called "Woven Together". The pictures were taken from National Geographic magazines (thank you N.G.). It was a time-consuming project, but worthwhile. The message behind this work is that we are all interconnected. While working on this, I was appreciating the international representation in this work and the diminishing boundaries between people groups. All are valuable and precious. As a side note, I'd like to begin doing this weaving process with family pictures. Woven Together is now finished and framed.
