This painting was inspired by a dream I had one night.  I was riding in a car down that road with a couple of friends and, of all people, Gandhi.  We were all joking around and laughing together.  I remember looking through the windshield at the earth and the (mystery) orb in the sky.  I was awed at the beauty of the earth in front of us and wondered what the other orb was.  It looked too large to be our moon so I suspected that the earth had a sister planet that we had never known about.
